In collaboration with various NGOs such as BIG IDEAS, Cosans is a coffee place unlike the ordinary.

They take their CSR seriously and provide customers the opportunity to give back to society while at the same time still enjoy their cuppa.

Serving sandwiches and cakes alongside coffee, the environment is cool and there’s also a big outdoor seating area.

The minor downside: only go if you can afford to spend a little bit more (RM11 for a regular cappuccino, RM13 for a large one).

7. Morningwood Cafe

 

 

After the initial closing of the store in May, previous barista of Morningwood, Abdullah Zainol took over ownership of the store.

The store now sells Malaysian/Americana Fusion Food with plenty of innuendo in their titles still.

The space is quite small but that’s no deterrent for students around the area to take up the tables with their laptops.

Come weekends, different crowd flocks in families.

Their food has some of the common selections of all-day breakfast sets and pasta. They have all of your usual sort of coffees and specialty ones like the Sam Jackson. Head on down there to figure out what it is!

Coffee Cottage at SS15 is the place to go to! Be prepared to be fuzzy-attacked by the overload of cuteness these cats have to offer.

Oh, and their coffee too, of course. The only obligation to enter into the cat zone is to order a cup of coffee per person.

Their Nutella latte is wonderful to taste and their cakes are too, although slightly over-chilled.

Le Lumineux Cafe is non-halal. Hence, you’ll be expecting some pretty porky dishes like the innovative Spicy Pork Masala.

Made with minced pork in a tomato-curry base sauce, that coats the spaghetti beautifully. Do not be fooled by its plain appearance as the sauce is quite spicy.

After all, there is chili pad¬†hidden beneath the mountain of sauce. A nice balanced, interesting flavor and a decent portion ‚Äď it is indeed pretty good.

Not a fan of coffee?

This new cafe in SS15, Subang Jaya focuses on tea rather the typical coffee.

You’ll not find coffee on the menu so if you’re up for a place that serves a variety of teas ranging from mango sencha to chai tea, this tea lab is your spot!

As if this concept isn’t hipster enough, they also have teapots with abstract art on them for you artsy fartsy ones.

The best time to visit would be when it’s raining outside while you’re all warm and cozy indoors. Go for the sencha green tea flavored with dried strawberries (RM14 per pot) for something fruity and refreshing!
